Current data — last checked October 6, 2026. ChatGPT model access can differ between Chat, Work and Codex, even on the same plan.
Pro $100/$200 currently have no Work/Codex five-hour limit; included allowance and weekly constraints may still apply. Plus and Standard Business ranges are variable estimates. This checker represents the existing $100/$200 tiers only; Pro $500/Ultrafast is outside its coverage. Business seat type is not selected, so confirm Standard versus Premium or flexible-credit limits with your workspace.
Check your setup
Choose four categories. No login, prompt, billing detail or account identifier is requested.
The checker runs entirely in your browser. It does not send your selections to OpenAI or request account data.
Choose what you have and what you are trying to do. The checker returns the most defensible current path without requesting login credentials, billing information, prompts or personal data.
Access troubleshooting: OpenAI now says Astra requires Codex CLI 0.153.0 or newer. In the desktop app, update to the latest available version before treating a missing model as an account-access problem.
Why a checker is useful
A ChatGPT subscription no longer maps cleanly to one fixed model list.
The answer can depend on:
- plan;
- surface;
- rollout state;
- workspace permission;
- workload and included allowance.
That is why a source-dated decision tool is more durable than a static sentence such as “Plan X has Model Y.”
Choose the surface first
- Chat for conversation.
- Work for longer multi-step deliverables.
- Codex for software development.
Then choose enough model capability for the task.
The strongest model is not always the best default
OpenAI currently warns that GPT-6 Astra can use Work/Codex allowance faster than GPT-5.6 Sol.
For repetitive work, lower-cost models can produce much more throughput from the same plan. Use Astra where extra reasoning changes the outcome.
For detailed allowance strategy, use the Codex Usage Limits guide.
Should Plus users upgrade?
Not automatically.
Pro has a strong case when the exact normal-Chat model path matters or Plus throughput repeatedly interrupts high-value daily work.
For the purchase decision, use ChatGPT Plus vs Pro.
Sources and updates
Check the verification date shown by the tool before relying on a result. Plan features and availability can change; the linked official sources are the place to confirm what is available to your account.
GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are Work/Codex models, not normal Chat options. API access does not unlock ChatGPT UI access.

FAQ
Can this checker see my ChatGPT account?
No. It should use only the categorical options you select and should not ask for credentials or personal information.
Why can a result say “rolling out”?
Because OpenAI can make a plan eligible before every account/surface receives the feature.
Are the usage estimates guaranteed?
No. They are current estimates from OpenAI and actual usage varies by task.
Will this tool still work after Astra?
Yes by design. Model/plan facts live in a source-dated dataset so future changes should be data updates rather than a replacement checker.
